Directions to Andover Town Office Building:
From Hartford area Route 384 to Route 6 East. Follow Route 6 to Route 316 take a right and turn left onto School Road. From Colchester/Hebron area take Route 66 turn left onto Route 316 take second right onto School Road after the Andover Town Line.

Do I need a Hunting, Fishing and Trapping License?
Yes, these licenses are available in the Town Clerks Office. A hunting license not over five (5) years old or a CT Firearms Safety Certificate must be shown to obtain a hunting license. The 2006 fee schedule is as follows:

Jr. Firearms Hunting 3.00
Hunting & Fishing 28.00
Fishing (over 16) 20.00
Trapping 25.00

Free licenses for the handicapped are issued each year. Seniors age 65 and over are issued a free lifetime license.

Marriage licenses are issued in the Town Clerks office. There is no waiting period. The license may be used in any town in CT. The fee is $30.00.

Name Change certificates are available in the Town Clerks Office. If you own property in town and you change your name, a certificate should be recorded on the Land Records. The fee for recording is $43.00 for the first page and $5.00 for each additional page.

How Do I Find a Notary in Andover?
Town Clerk, Carol Lee and Asst. Town Clerk, Mikki Bush are both Notary Publics and can provide these services at the Town Office. This service is free of charge. Photo identification must be presented.

How Do I Get A Passport?
Passport information can be obtained at the Town Office Building or my going online to travel.state.gov/passport_services.html

Fax service is available for $1.00 per page in the Town Clerks Office. Copy service is available for .25 cents per page.

Anyone conducting business in the Town of Andover must file a Trade Name Certificate with the Town Clerk and a personal property declaration with the Assessors Office. The Building Department must also be notified. Fee to record trade name certificate is $5.00.

Monthly meeting schedules for local boards and commissions, and lists of members of boards and commissions are available in the Town Clerks Office. A bulletin board of weekly meeting agendas for local boards and commissions and the minutes of these meetings are open for public inspection during regular office hours.

To reserve the Old Firehouse call Town Clerk Carol Lee or Assistant Town Clerk Mikki Busch at 742-0188. The key may be picked up the day before your event and returned to the Town Clerk the day after use.

Permits are issued by our burning official Ed Kasacek. He can be contacted at 742-4048.
