Exciting Programs for summer '08!
The summer line up of programs is as follows:
- July 25 – the Children’s Museum lends us “Mr. Science” to teach us a bit about BRIDGES and how they bear the loads that use them.
- July 25 – Learn about HYPNOSIS
- July 28 – Very lonely Caterpillar story and craft with the GirlScouts of America
- July 29 – Ty Menard, Puppeteer, presents a show called “EDWARD WONDERFUL”
- July 30 - ♪ ♪ ♪ MUSICal stARTS ♪ ♪ ♪ is all about teaching music to our very young children (ages 3-6) focusing on Singing in tune, Keeping a beat & Moving artistically to music.
Stop by the desk in June and ask for a copy of the detailed schedule from the clerk on duty. You may also sign up for those programs you'd like at the same time if you wish. If the class size is limited please be considerate of your neighbors and only sign up if you're sure you can attend so we don't hold an empty seat in reserve and cause another resident to lose out on the opportunity to participate.
Enjoy! Ms, C.

CT DEFENDER'S BASEBALL TEAMMATES READ STORIES
CUTTER THE EAGLE is the mascot
for the CT Defender's baseball team
from Norwich CT. Antoan Richardson (#41)
and David Maroul (#18) did a great time
reading a couple stories to the children
at our library this Wednesday morning.
Cutter stood nearby and gave his support
along with autographs when the time came.
The players answered questions and posed
for pictures after signing baseballs and
other autographs for the children.
As you can see in the photo above the
children were happy to pose for a group
picture and look at the wonderful smiles
sported by one and all.
We have many more fun opportunities this
summer to join in on so plan to drop in
and visit us. For more program information
stop at the circulation desk and ask any
questions you have.
