Come hear the incredible adventures of a small group of dedicated reenactors who duplicated the French army’s march of 225 years ago, from Newport, Rhode Island to Yorktown,Virginia. The idea of duplicating the 600 mile march, to the calendar day, was conceived by Andover’s Richard Swartwout and his friend David Halloway. Both reenactors are members of the 6th Regiment, Connecticut Continental Line.
Serge’Gabriel, Chairman of the Connecticut Washington- Rochambeau Revolutionary committee, will honor us with a brief presentation explaining the French commitment to our revolution against the British.
Light Refreshments will follow the program
Directions: follow Rt 6 to the junction with Rt 316. Follow Rt 316-- 8/10 of a mile. Turn left onto School Road. The school is the 3rd town building on the left.
